They have given this statement publicly in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The reason for the clash between the famous father-daughter duo is the comments by Elon Musk. Elon’s five children with Wilson believed in keeping their personal matters to themselves, however, the case of transitioning of Vivian became public because of a transphobic comment made by their father, Elon Musk.

Elon Musk tweeted in 2020 that ‘pronouns suck’, even after knowing the things his daughter was going through. This homophobic tweet received backlash and people pointed him out for calling himself pro-LGBTQ.

After the divorce, Wilson and Musk decided for shared custody for all their five children. But now, Vivian, after turning 18, legally went to disconnect entirely from their biological father. The reason given by Vivian for this separation is gender identity. Because of “personal issues”, they no longer want to be with their father. There is news that Vivian first decided to tell her aunt about their gender transition. They specifically asked her “not to tell my dad about this.”

Maybe it is the transphobic comments by Elon Musk. Or maybe it is something more personal. But the truth of why Vivian completely wanted to separate from their father, still remains unknown.
